In the image below I have highlighted track 5 in the mixer. Lets start by picking a sound to use, any old sound will do… I use this technique on my bass sounds mostly. In this tutorial I am going to show you how to split the sound into 3 frequencies so you can process the low, mid and high range separately. I used it in my remix of Into Your Eyes by You & What army, as well as… well… all of my productions. Track routing is an extremely useful tool in music production and one that I can’t work without.
So if you are not in FL Studio, most of the info will still be valuable and apply to you.
